Hello family and everyone else,
So at the MTC, nobody bothered in asking the 3 of us who were going to Fresno if it was our laundry day. I'm just glad I did it before I left. That is really exciting Makayla is getting married. Too bad I am going to miss it. Tell her to send a wedding invitation to me. I still would like to see it. I also didn't realize that today is president's Day. I was wondering why the flags were up around here in Clovis. Now I know.
I live with the Nelson's just for this week. My companion is from Alberta Canada. They are having another person moving in. So, sometime this week, me and Elder Boyes are moving to the Richie's house. lovely couple. The husband is a Chiropractic/message therapist. So it will be interesting. The ward is getting together with the mission president to find a more permanent place for me and my companion to stay. I forgot my camera again. Sorry. At least your all getting some pictures from someone at least. Things are really busy here in Clovis. It's just North of Fresno. The ward here is spectacular. They just had their ward conference this Sunday. They are really making a crackdown on missionary work. We only have 2 current investigators. However, they are really busy. Both have broken families, and want to create a better life together as they start having kids. So me and my companion are really hopeful for them. As we go out and meet the members, we sometimes do street contacting. We got 3 more possible investigators. It's slow, but at least it's some progress. We do not go tracting. It's not effective. We rely on the members to make friends and invite non-members to church. For Valentine's day, me and my companion got heart shaped boxes full of chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries. Elder Boyes is a health nut. Chaston Hill, if you are reading this, I want you to know that he reminds me of you. I love him as my trainer and as my first companion. He gets out of the mission field on I think May 6th. I will still be in this area for another 3 months after he leaves. For a total of 6 months. We also did some service at a members house. We are fed dinner every night. So it's great. Went shopping and got some yogurt finally. I have been wanting yogurt for a long time now. Clovis is more of a really rich suburb. The houses are big and beautiful. At the Nelson's, we live in a room upstairs with our personal bathroom. So it's really nice. Oh and yes, I am riding my bike everywhere. Well that's sad for Kayleigh, she will be in my prayers. I also realized how important visiting teaching is to members. It makes people feel loved, and welcome. It is a lesser chance for members to fall inactive.
Until next week
Sincerely,
Elder White.
