Dear family and everyone else,
For my companion's birthday, we had our normal district meeting for the week and we celebrated there after the meeting was done. After district meeting, I exchanged with Elder Elliott to his area in Turlock. He seems cool enough. Big gamer back at home. Surprisingly, he's 21 when he started a couple weeks ago. He looks younger to me, like he should be 18.
The next day on Friday, we conducted a district weekly planning. We went through each step in Preach My Gospel together so we can all be focused and actually talk about each individual person/family. It went pretty well. Then we exchanged back to our own areas after planning.
Elder Nielsen's birthday dinner didn't turn out well just like last year. They just handed them food and off they went. That stinks not eating at a member's house, especially on your birthday. We even made the note on the calendar. Oh well, what can you do?
Lastly, it was Saturday that Elder Torres our Zone Leader wanted to exchange with us again. This time, I went with Elder Lino to his area. Quite boring really. Not knowing Spanish and being at the Spanish Branch for church is not fun. He is originally from Peru. Speaks pretty good English. He wants to go to BYU Hawaii; however, he was looking at housing prices over there and he wasn't too fascinated with that idea. Then I suggested Idaho, because it's way cheaper up there. We had some funny and fun times together. Both nights, I gave him a back rub and he loved it. He says I should be a message therapist or something of the sort. I'm like...No, that's not for me. His back was really killing him. So I did some awesome service and being charitable.
All my worries in remembering everything were gone with that exchange. Now I feel refreshed and ready to work again back in my area. That's about all that happened this week that is interesting.
