Dear family and everyone else,
I can't remember if I talked about Zone Conference last week. We mostly centered our learning on President Uchtdorf's talk and simplifying the gospel. We must stick to studying the scriptures and Preach My Gospel only. No special programs. My companion decided to take up the ponderizing scripture challenge. His scripture is in Romans. It talks about having hope for things and also patience. I didn't bother with it, because I don't want to do any special programs. Neither does President Palmer for the mission. The question is, are any of you ponderizing a scripture? Put one on the fridge, debate with your family. Always find a new one each Family Home Evening. What can we as the family of God work on together? These are some great questions to ask ourselves. For me, I'm working on some of my Christ like attributes. There is always something more yet we lack find it, you will feel good.
This week has been averagely boring until Saturday afternoon. Elder Torres ,our Zone Leader, wanted to exchange with us, so I stayed yet again and I was with Elder Torres. He is from Florida and is bi-lingual, so he found a bunch of referrals for the sisters to go see. As we did our nightly planning, we both felt impressed to go up to Diablo Grande up in the hills and find the less actives and teach the members that are up there. Elder Nielsen and I have not worked with the members at all since I have been here. Only dinner appointments. We taught the Bower's first. He currently is a teacher looking to be an Elder soon. His youngest daughter is turning 8 soon and started to come back to church. The ward council has changed things up and will be talking about people's needs only, so we received a bunch of assignments for this week. We also set up a bunch of follow up appointments up in Diablo (Big devil). It looks like a great week this week. We also received one referral from the Bedwell's grandson. He will invite his friend to his home, and we will have our member home lesson for the week. It will be great. Four referrals total this week.
Sadly, our exchange will be expiring as soon as we get to Turlock right after e-mailing. He is as crazy as my sister, I think. No offense sisters. Crazy good that is. He is on fire with missionary work. He has opened my eyes of what real work is. I pray this week will fall according to plan.
Until next week,
Elder White
