Dear Family and everyone else,
Another week has come and gone. It rained twice this week. Including today. Nobody expected rain today. However, it is supposed to be sunny for the rest of the week. Elder Anderson was one of my Zone Leaders who left home because his ranch needed him. We are hoping he will be back soon to finish the last 6 months of his mission. Lately, we have been teaching the atonement to the members here. I especially love how we can sometimes use online messages to help with that. Like "The Refiner's Fire,", or "Burdens Lifted." They are so good. I got up with my companion for fast and testimony meeting yesterday. I never done that in sacrament before. I kept it short and sweet. People loved it. I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can better know him and understand how he understands us. Through the atonement, we as human beings can become better people and help others be better. The lord is so good.
As a companionship, we had an earth shattering experience. We found our weak point in our companionship. As a companionship, and especially for me, I need to be a better open person. I share all these experiences of people around me, but not about myself. Through this week, I have come to know the atonement of Jesus Christ better. People can change. I can change. The lord said, "I will make thy weak things become strong." I love that statement. The lord called so many prophets who were unlearned, and slow of speech. I know that Heavenly father can help me make my communication better, and my teaching skills. So carry on your day, but know this first, the atonement of Jesus Christ can help you in your days. I have written a few poems lately. One of these is called SEEK! As missionaries, we ask investigators to find out for themselves, so they can develop their own testimonies.
Upon these words I now write,
I am good at the word,
but weak by the voice.
See its meaning,
Through letters and symbols.
I may speak all day long.
But teaching through symbols,
Something is learned more.
Circle of stories,
Books that I read.
Given to me,
I now seek.
Wisdom and inspiration,
I will then partake.
