Dear family and everyone else,
Conference has come and gone and I hope all of you have been spiritually fed. We have also witnessed another piece of history in the making. Elder Rasband, Elder Stevenson, and Elder Renelund have been called as the ord's newest apostles. These men are well qualified for the work. Also, we are lucky to have two heart surgeons as apostles as well. So, if any of the general authorities needs heart surgery, they know who to go to.
The prophet has warned, "Keep The Commandments." Other members have also raised the warning voice. Will you be one of them? We have them so we can be safe. We have them so we can find eternal happiness to come. If you love the Lord with all thine heart, then keep his commandments. Then raises the question... how? I can summarize it in 4 simple things. 1. Read the scriptures, 2. pray to Heavenly Father, 3.Go to the temple, and 4. please, go to church and keep the Sabbath Day holy. It breaks a mother's heart and our Father in Heaven's heart to see his children stray. Be like the prodigal son. If you are lost, find those who have the light of Christ. It is never too late. But also, don't procrastinate!
There is one other thing I want to share with you and it's this: we had dinner with sister Ames at Panda Express Tuesday and I read my fortune. When I read that fortune it said this, "You have made the right decision." It made me ponder, did I choose the right restaurant to eat at or something much more. I reflect on what has happened for me these last 8 or so months. I made the right decision to be spiritually converted. I made the right decision to go on a mission. I helped people make the right decision to be baptized and find everlasting joy. My joy was great in the eyes of seeing those people make that decision for themselves. So I want to say that the fortune is meant for all, "WE have made the right decision." Just remember to continue to choose the right. (CTR.)
Sincerely,
Elder White
P.S. I am the only Elder White in the mission again. Victory is mine for the taking. Yeah!
